Conglomerate Sculpture

A sculpture generation toolkit:

Conglomerate Sculpture is a project that explores the potential of autonomous computer design. Given a tightly constrained design problem, the software makes design decisions and builds beautiful sculptures. Specifically, given a target 3D model and a list of sub-models, the system builds a conglomerate sculpture made up of sub-models that approximates the geometry of the target model.

Conglomerate Sculpture was my final project in 6.837, Computer Graphics, along with teammates Oliver Roup and Anyuan Guo.

The project spanned six weeks, and though our results were good, I have many ideas on how to improve our algorithms. We just didn't have enough time to perfect our design. If I ever have enough free time I hope to improve our results, and perhaps add a GUI.
